An Update from Carmel, November 2023

Carmelite Crest & Motto

The Peace of Christ!

November 2023

To all our faithful and dearly beloved friends,

Praised be Jesus Christ!

Our hearts have been deeply touched as so many of you have reached out in the past few

weeks to express your sorrow over our upcoming relocation to the Diocese of St. Augustine,

Florida. We know that this news is difficult, since it is hard for us, too! But we pray that our

friends here will be able to understand our decision, which was made only after much prayer and reflection and about which Our Lord has given us many confirmations.

We ardently hope that you will keep in touch with us, since we will certainly keep you in

our prayers every day no matter where we are!! Your joys and sorrows are ours, and we are

blessed to bring your intentions to God as we offer our prayers and sacrifices on your behalf each day. We will share our new address and phone number in the coming weeks, and will still be here through Christmas and probably well into January.

Many of you are asking what will happen with our property here, especially our beautiful

chapel. We are hoping to pass on this property to a group that will preserve and cherish this

chapel, so that it will always be a place where people can come to pray and to be reminded of the Carmelites’ ongoing prayers for everyone here.

How we wish we could send a personal letter to each and every one of our friends,

expressing how much you mean to us and how extremely grateful we are for your love and

support!! While this isn’t possible, please know that it doesn’t lessen the fervor with which we pray for you and your loved ones, carrying you in our hearts through our vocation to be spiritual mothers of souls. May God bless you abundantly, and Our Lady keep you ever safe beneath the mantle of her maternal protection through the intercession of our patroness, Saint Therese. We would be sincerely grateful for your prayers for us as well.

Gratefully yours in Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

The Carmelite Nuns of the Monastery of the Little Flower of Jesus
